Google Insights for Search is actually just a sub-element of Google Trends. To access it: enter “Google trends” in your web browser. You will be brought to the Google Trends website. Today, we are interested only on elements in the lower portion of the display. The text that reads, “Explore advanced features with Google Insights for Search.” Click on the underlined, blue-colored text “Google Insights for Search.”

What it Can Do for You
Because you are in business and also want to keep abreast with the world, this is an excellent resource. Imagine if you can ask someone to tell you what the top money words are in your line of business. Google Insights for Search actually answers this question–which is why it is an outstanding research forum. It is an authoritative archive of the words (keywords) the world has been using in their web searches–all these recent years. Ask yourself the sheer power that this information can mean to your business…

What to Ask – Part 1
The way you interact with this database (ask questions) is through the use of the different settings. You have a wide array of options. Let us start with the simple use of “Filters”–found at the top right of the display. You have a total of four settings: Web Search, Worldwide, 2004-present and something which defaults to “All Categories.” Because my desire is simply to get you started with this tool, let us not tamper with the top three Filter settings. Let us just leave them as they stand and only tweak the Categories setting.

Initially let us set the lowest Filter to “Social Networks & Online Communities,” then click on “Search” to initiate our first query.Top Searches (first five) include: Facebook, Facebook login, hi5, orkut, chat. Rising Searches (top five) include: Facebook, Facebook login, Hyves, MySpace, nasza klasa. In terms of the relative demand for the top searches–the column on the immediate right of the Top Search items, Facebook currently has a measure of 100, while the next three all have 10. This means that Facebook is currently garnering ten times the search demand being enjoyed by: Facebook login, hi5, and orkut. Beside the rightmost entries, the measure reads as Breakout.” Breakout means that the search term has experienced a change in growth greater that 5000%; which can simply be interpreted as–very substantial.

Next, let us set the Category Filter to “Internet.” After you click “Search,” we get our results. Top Searches (first five) include: Yahoo, MSN, MySpace, Gmail, Google. Rising Searches (top five) include: Bebo, MySyspace, tuenti, Mynet, Gmail.

What to Ask – Part 2
Maintain Category Filter at “Internet.” Proceed with using “Search Terms”–found on the top middle of the display. Enter the key phrase “keyword research,” then click on “Search.” The results show a graph (at the bottom) on Interest over time: Interest Level. On this one, a point of interest will be that our particular term was nil or zero from 2004 until the first quarter of 2008, when it began to enjoy a rating which averaged at around 50. The number rating reflects how many searches have been done for a particular term–relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time. Not to be interpreted as absolute search numbers but instead as values that are taken relative to one another. How searches vary over time.

The Value of the Information
Our above experiment should simply be considered as a preliminary trial of Google Insights. In this day and age when information is potential power, you are likely to find a “gold mine” of knowledge from this resource.

With each tool comes inherent and potential values. Give Google Insights a chance–explore more of what it can do. Do not under-estimate the value of “gifts” that are given for free. (Thank you, Google!) They are probably the tools which your competitors are using!

Whether you are a newbie or a veteran on the subject of Keyword Research, you have probably already been introduced to its basics. Pay close attention to the methodology or approach to keyword research that your mentor is teaching to you. If it is KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index), please consider my warning on its obsolescence… You should proceed to read every word of this article to learn more. It will briefly describe what KEI is, give you one numeric example, then tell you exactly why it is now obsolete. But more that just being the bearer of bad news; I would like to become your messenger of good tidings as well–as I tell you exactly what the New Methodology of Keyword Research involves.

KEI is a rather common approach to keyword research–undertaken through the use of two data elements: the popularity and competitiveness of keywords and phrases. The reason for the prevalence of this approach is likely due to the availability of the two tools that are used to conduct the research: the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and Google Search.

Example: “Energy Drinks” will be used as our seed key phrase.

Data: Using the Google Adwords Tool, the search volume per month is 26,722 searches; this is the Popularity of our key phrase. Using Google Search, the competition volume per month is 36,600,000 web pages; this is our Competition Volume.

Formula:
KEI = Popularity ^2 / Competitiveness
where: Popularity is the number of searches for a keyword per month; Competitiveness is the number of web pages that mention a keyword.

Computation:
KEI = (26,722 x 26,722) / 36,600,000 = 0.0195099 = 19.51
Note that the formula requires popularity to be squared; i.e., raised to the second power. We simplify this (in the above computation)–and actually get the same mathematical result by using– Popularity x Popularity. More straightforward, huh?

In the context of our “Energy Drinks” example above, our keyword research will likewise include the generation of synonymous keywords and phrases. The subsequent steps will involve searching for the popularity and the competitiveness of each of the said synonym keywords. This process is indeed a lengthy one and requires the patience of a monk.

Now obsolete? Yes, because there is now an easier way and better way of conducting keyword research. All you need is twenty minutes to identify your niche’s “golden nugget” keywords. It involves the use of four data values–not just two–as is used in the KEI approach. These four metrics are fondly referred to as the Four Golden Rules on: Traffic, Relevance, Competition and Commerciality. Relating to KEI, Traffic is similar to Popularity and Competition is similar to Competitiveness– and are actually based on the same source data.

The New Methodology of Keyword Research uses the Market Samurai Keyword Research Tool (MSKRT). It is available for free–as a gift from the Noble Samurai (Australia).

In the field of communications and psychotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) has become widely recognized as a science that has helped millions overcome their self-perceived problems. It has likewise become a method of making people learn– within a few hours– what others have assimilated over a lifetime. By simply using an approach or system called modeling.

Modeling in NLP is the process of using the behaviors, language, strategies and beliefs of another in order to “build a model of what they do…” The model is then transformed into a pattern which others can learn from. When doing modeling, you must shut out your personal beliefs and acquire the structure of physiology, language, strategies, and beliefs of the person being modeled.

This is not to be confused with copying– which is the shallow and mindless aping of what another person does.

In web copywriting, the fastest way to become an outstanding copywriter is model excellent sales copy. Find one which has impressed you. Your best candidate is one which you have already bought from. The mere fact that you have made a purchase from it should be enough reason that it qualifies as containing notable sales copy in your eyes.

Start by making a personal analysis. What was it that made you buy from it? Was it the graphics? Was it the layout? Or– was it the textual copy? In the context of our current agenda, we are looking foremost at words that made you bring out your credit card. And succumb to its call to action– and make a purchase.

Your subsequent course of action is to make a copy of the sales text. You may “cut and paste” the text from your web browser for pasting into your word processor, and subsequent printing to generate a hard copy. But your final aim will be to manually re-write the whole thing.

Write it out in you own handwriting– copy the text from your printed copy. As you do so, work towards internalizing the message. With each word, try to place yourself in the mental frame of the writer. Why does he say things the way he does? Why does he choose certain words over others? How does he build up emotion in you? How does he “package” his message? How does he integrate appeal with his words? And finally, how does he bring you into submission– to buy?

When done, repeat the re-writing process. Do this at least two or three times within one day. After several days, re-write it again to see how much easier the re-writing process now becomes. Feel the words flow from your pen– as you come close to making them your own.

This method is one that is espoused by online authorities like renowned copywriter and author Ted Nicholas; who has used this system personally.

Keyword Research novices will always ask these two most basic questions, “How do I get started? What topic shall I take up first?” Add to that the matter of teaching someone the early use of the Market Samurai software– and you have a stalemate situation of sorts…

Is there a way whereby a beginner can be taught the basics of Keyword Research and Market Samurai (M.S.) at the same time? Is it possible to have a beginner’s tutorial that can piggy-back the teaching of one over the other?

Responding to the clamor for a simple tutorial– in Keyword Research and M.S., this Beginner’s Guide is offered.

The Market Samurai Keyword Research Tool (MSKRT) is just one of the nine modules which the complete M.S. software includes. It is probably the most important and the most useful tool with which you can begin your early use of the M.S. application.

Noble Samurai (the makers of the software) teaches that there are four tenets that must be addressed, in order to find your “golden nugget” keywords. These four are:
1. Traffic
2. Relevance
3. Competition
4. Commerciality

Within the program, all of the above “magic four” criteria elements (tenets) are addressed using just four simple steps within the program, as follows:
Step One: Start program, enter keyword or phase, click Keyword Research
Step Two: Tick Google Search, Add Permutations, click Generate Keywords
Step Three: Set “Magic Four,” click Analyze Keywords
Step Four: Use Recommended Settings as per values below, Export CSV

The “Magic Four” settings address the above-mentioned four tenets, respectively. As recommended by the experts (Noble Samurai):
1. SEOT = 80 visits per day
2. PBR = 15 % ratio
3. SEOC = 30000 competing webpages
4. SEOV = 30 dollars per day

All of the foregoing are quite simple and straightforward within the software, and beginners (like us) need just twenty minutes to complete the process.

This article is for anyone serious about making money online and why you should get Market Samurai– purportedly the world’s most powerful keyword research tool.

As I begin, set your credit card aside because you will not need it today; even if I am able to convince you to download the free trial edition. With that critical proviso in place, please give me an open mind as you proceed…

Tired of all the aggressive pitches that have been made towards selling the product, mine will be different as it is simply the sharing of information which many will find as worthwhile to know regarding this important software. Matters that have not been appreciated by many; as they got turned off by too much of the hype from most who try to sell the software to them.

Keyword Research is the process used by search engine professionals to identify and find actual search terms that people use on search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.) to guide them with their online initiatives. It is a must for anyone who wants to make it online.

Internet marketing greenhorns (like me) are often at a loss and feel insecure with the limited know-how that they have. And ask, “How then do I choose the ideal research tool for me?” If you share in this apprehension, Market Samurai is an excellent candidate– particularly for beginners.

The Market Samurai software has a Keyword Research Tool which is easy to use. It also has seven other modules (Rank Tracker, SEO Competition, Monetization, Find Content, Publish Content, Promotion, and AdWords), but set that additional information aside at this time. For now, let us just talk about that all important Market Samurai- Free Keyword Research Tool.

Did I say free? Yes, it is completely free. And not just free for a trial period nor free for a limited time; but free–forever. Everyone who installs Market Samurai, has a non-lapsing copy of the Keyword Research Tool.

Download and install the complete program–absolutely for free; and have a fully-operational copy with which you can try everything that the complete software does, for a limited time. There is absolutely no risk on your part because after your trial period lapses, seven modules will no longer work. The important thing is the Keyword Research will remain fully functional–as a non-lapsing gift from the makers of the program (Noble Samurai, Australia).

Why would anyone refuse a free keyword research tool which you can use forever?

Does it frustrate you that it takes far too many hours to find the right keywords for your niche?

As you read every word of this article, you will quickly discover the fastest and easiest way to unearth your “money words.” The price of admission into this quick-and-easy system is for free. It’ll cost you nothing!

If you are into Search Engine Optimization (SEO) because you need to identify your niche’s “golden nugget” keywords, chances are– you are faced with one or all of the following challenges:
* You’ve been taught the Google Search and the Google AdWords Tool combination as an approach. But you have found this process takes too long and to be error-prone. I call this the “long-hand” approach approach to keywords research because it takes the patience of Job to get it done. You need several hours if you are to get all the authoritative information that you need. Don’t get me wrong… You have to study your niche very well as you embark to develop your website; to learn as much as you can on it. Knowledge is power. But should it really take that long? Isn’t there an easier way which will not consume too much of your precious time?
* You’ve been taught to use the Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) Ratio Method. But you have found this to be just as difficult to do. Aside from also taking too long, the use of two elements: popularity and competitiveness– as used in KEI is insufficient. Instead of using two criteria elements, the new methodology of Keyword Research now mandates the use of four elements: traffic, relevance, competition and commerciality. And the new system takes less than half an hour to do!
* After hours of using one or both of the above approaches, you get an edgy feeling that you might be missing out on something… And indeed you are.

How would you like it if you can easily and authoritatively identify your best keywords in as little as twenty minutes?

All you need to do is to get the software Market Samurai. Its most important component is the Market Samurai Keyword Research Tool (MSKRT). To fast-track your use of the same, you will also need a simplified tutorial that will teach you exactly how to use the MSKRT even if you have never used it before. The eTutorial is titled– Market Samurai In twenty Minutes (MSITM): A Beginner’s Guide to Keyword Research Using Market Samurai.

Here is the most amazing part. Both MSKRT and MSITM are available as online gifts for all who care to have them. Totally for free.
